Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards the national level and international. She has worked with various government agencies and governments across the world on policies and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
